Since I have a wide range of passions, I decided to focus this post on one of mine that could be a potential career path that I have not fully explored, but has been something I took interest in since I was young. I have always wanted to be a wedding planner. Because of my love for makeup, fashion, traveling, lifestyle and more, I feel like this would fit into multiple categories.

To be a wedding planner, you must be very detail-oriented, with an open mind and flexibility. Getting down to the last and final details is important and makes all the difference for someone’s big day!

My experience with wedding planning is very low, as I have not arranged or planned any weddings before. However, I have been in an event coordinator position, where I would plan events for the City of Issaquah, and put those on for community members. I was also a member of ASB which taught me a lot about planning and how to be flexible and thinking on the go when plans don’t go as they were expected.

I am also experienced in makeup and have many connections to those who do makeup. Between my network of makeup artists and others who could help with beauty and hair, connections are something that I think are so important for this job.

I think that wedding planning is for sure something I am still interested in and would like to potentially go into in the future. Through connections and planning experience, I think I could make it in the position!
